Two collections named Best Reference titles by Library Journal

Today Library Journal released their annual Best Reference list for 2009. Among the ten online resources identified as top reference titles are two Alexander Street streaming video collections, American History in Video and Counseling and Therapy in Video.

Every January, Booklist editors select the previous year's top reference titles. Two Alexander Street online collections were chosen for the 2009 award: American History in Video and Music Online. I Love My Librarian

There is still time to nominate your librarian for the 2009 Carnegie Corporation of New York/New York Times I Love My Librarian Award.

Nominations will run through October 9 and are being accepted online at http://www.ilovelibraries.org/ilovemylibrarian.

Nominate a librarian in one of three categories: public librarians; school library media specialists; or college, community college, or university librarians. Up to ten librarians will be honored. Each will receive $5,000 and be recognized at an awards ceremony hosted by The New York Times at TheTimesCenter in December 2009.
