Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) was a German composer and organist.
Bach wrote the Brandenburg Concertos over a period of several years and compiled them for the Margrave of Brandenburg in 1721. The Concertos show Bach veering from the standard concerto grosso and featuring solo instruments instead. The Concerto No. 2 is likely Bach's last orchestral work.
This recording is performed by the Luxembourg Radio Symphony Orchestra, Norbert Matern, oboe, Vassil Ivanov, viola, and Jean de Ridder, trumpet.
