Frederic Francois Chopin (1810-1849) was a Polish composer and concert pianist. He moved to Paris after the Polish uprising where he began to move in society circles along with Liszt and Berlioz. In Paris, he gave private concerts and taught to make a living, as well as published manuscripts of his works. He lived with George Sand from 1834 until just before his death of tuberculosis in 1849.
