resources for promoting your library's music collections

With the help (and gentle prompting) of our customers Alexander Street has designed some marketing materials for your library.  Visit http://alexanderstreet.com/resources/index.htm to download a zip file full of ways to boost music database usage.  Once you have the PDF files you can customize them to your library, and the services you offer.  From there, print them out and use them everywhere to remind patrons of the valuable resources at their disposable.  We recommend keeping them on hand at your circulation desk and providing them with each check-out, or at your computer work stations.

Another great way of promoting your library's services is with our free music downloads  Every two weeks,  we take a complete work from Classical Music Library and make it available for free download.  You can add a link to the free download site on your library's homepage, your own blog site, or anywhere else you think people may like free downloads.  You can use either a simple text link, http://musicdownloads.alexanderstreet.com/promo, or you can grab one of t the banner ads below. Hint:  to get the html, pick the "just give me the code" option.

Please feel free to leave your comments or suggestions here for other ways to improve usage.  As always, don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions, or suggestions for ways that Alexander Street Press can better serve you.  Email technical questions to support@astreetpress.com, or marketing inquiries to gurquhart@astreetpress.com.

Black Drama reviewed by CHOICE

Heavy praise for Alexander Street's now complete, Black Drama from R.J. Cirasa of Kean University.  Among the highlights are historical and contemporary works, by authors from America and the African diaspora.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at support@alexanderstreet.com.   Thanks and enjoy!
